The TEKTUS SUSPENDED UP-DOWN is part of a tradition of Doxis luminaires characterised by neutral geometry. This unobtrusive language of form ensures optimum visual integration into the environment, where the luminaires serve the architecture rather than seeking to draw attention to themselves.
Such an approach is only possible with a sophisticated mechanical concept. The lighting of luminaires, and in particular the LEDs they contain, involves technical requirements. That's why TEKTUS is equipped with an invisible integrated convection system that allows the interior of the cylindrical body to be optimally ventilated in any position, for maximum efficiency and long life.
So how do you renew this familiar shape, how do you incorporate a new approach? Indirect lighting.... Following our research, we succeeded in integrating an Up & Down module into this iconic shape measuring just 45mm in diameter! This was a technological feat, as we had to overcome a number of technical challenges, including heating, cast shadows, the fixing system and the rendering. This new lighting solution takes a fresh look at suspension, at a shape that's familiar to everyone, and opens new doors to the imagination.
